Everything that we design, manufacture and finish is installed by our highly skilled installation team at Wainscot. When designing our projects, careful consideration has to be taken in to place especially when corners aren’t always square, floors are not necessarily level, radiators, pipes and other obstructions aren’t always where you want them to be. It is imperative that all these considerations are taken into account, so we take great care when designing these projects to make sure installation is fast and efficient.

Hand carving is enjoying a revival as a new generation are gaining an appreciation of woodworking in general and wood carving in particular.
That said there is nothing quite like witnessing what can be achieved by a humble woodcarving chisel in the hands of a true master.
Our craftsmen have an exceptional range of carving skills which can be applied to a wide range of products such as staircases, wardrobes, door pediments, frieze rails, mantles and to any bespoke furniture. Exquisite carving can be the perfect way to enhance and personalise your project. Wainscot Interiors offers a bespoke hand carving service covering all aspects of period decorative carving from early 15th century onwards.

Wainscot Interiors offer a wide variety of specialist finishing methods and at the start of each project we undertake we offer a colour sampling service to match any existing finish or specific colour the client would like.
Wood is a unique material with varying grain and natural colour that accepts a wide range of finishes. To bring out the true beauty of the timber and the desired effect, such as distressed or antique takes great care and an understanding and appreciation of the timber.
Our team of finishers are enthusiastic, passionate and have a keen eye for detail. They have spent years perfecting this and now use a variety of different finishes and techniques to bring out the true beauty of the timber.
-
Our craftsmen have undertaken conservation projects working for English Heritage, Historic Scotland and CADW.
Work has been carried out at Tower of London, Sterling Castle, and Caerphilly Castle.
Conservation work is an area we are hoping to develop so we welcome any enquiries for this type of work.
